Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral

The many traditions practiced at the city's larget Greek Orthodox church, in addition to the environmental conditions of downtown Los Angeles, led to the early deterioration of decorative surfaces. Our work included the complete documentation and conservation of all twenty-one painted icons that fit into the altar screen. We also restored the painted surfaces and gilding on the altar screen, throne and pulpit.
